One year the bus company I drove for decided our footwear would be steel toe cap shoes, instead of the usual oil and grease resistant shoes.
THE most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn - for all of 30 mins.
Needless to say nobody wore them.
I think the engineering director got a backhander from the suppliers.
They were that bad I'd not even wear them in my work shop. ST shoes in workshop, ST boots for the Steam rally field - I have a bad habit of sticking my foot in front of the wheels when moving my miniature traction engine by hand, it weighs 1/2 ton.
