It was the same in Germany with EWM, 4 days of in depth circuit level training and product/sales awareness with Olympic level drinking each evening. I was so ill on the return journey I shamefully spewed my guts up on the platform at Frankfurt railway station to the horror of the packed carriage I had just vacated.

Oddly I've not been sent away on training on the company's dime since :lol

there you go-you obviously need a minder for the factory visit-retired paratrooper, speaks french (sort of) tee total (never played golf)-diplomatic skills for the maintenance of the entente cordiale(always mention Agincourt and Waterloo at every opportunity), cheap rates- free if there is beer on offer.

You're too late, Dad has insisted he comes along as my chaperone for this trip, so I expect fun and games will be reduced by a factor of four.
I will take on the advice about Agincourt and Waterloo however, is it also considered prudent to remind them that despite them falling to the Germans in about five minutes we were on hand to bail them out, twice?

Don't forget to remind em of the American war of independence too, we'd have had plenty of room if those double crossing bleeders hadn't of stuck their noses in!

Also: The V sign is to remind them of the prowess of our long bow archers at Agincourt and other skirmishes. Must be used in abundance...

Reminding them about the Germans might be a bit tricky. There is no history of WW11 in French literature, as it is too embarassing to admit to the level of collaboration that went on.
There are still very nice apartements in Paris that are rented out to friends of the Gov at peppercorn rents. Confiscated from Jewish citizens and no attempt to return them to the descendents.

But, UK has not been occupied for a very long time, so difficult to judge them. But the restoration of property could be a bit more enthusiastic..

handy to know- arc is also french for bow as in arc de ciel (rainbow bow in the sky/heaven) so you can pass comment-"like nice welder- good strong arc- not as strong as a longbow though".
And you can sneak Agincourt lots of times by simulating a sneeze as in ah- ah- aginCORR-used to do it lots but my frog mates have sussed it now.
