Guns and Roses at Glastonbury

Saw GnR last summer in London. Luckily we were the second night after they sorted out a few gremlins from the first. Took my 10 year old (who is Slash mad) and it was absolutely awesome. Must say I turned off after estranged last night. Couldn’t hear axl most the time. I’ve read that there was an issue with the tv mics - apparently it was ok live. For all the hype and antics in their day I see them now as absolutely iconic - and although he comes under a lot of criticism I do think slash has created some beautiful lines. He has inspired and continues to inspire all my kids to play instruments… so he’s a hero in our house !!

Well two mins in , and it didnt get any better ,,,, and poor old Eltons looking like hes been rogered with the rough end of a pineapple with that walk out ....

right what else is on TV tonight , thats cruel.

Debbie Harry will be 78 on the first of July this year. She did well for an old chick...

No matter how good they perform, the thing should be renamed coffin dodgers festival

Now I quite liked Elton’s set. GnR were toss, which is a shame as I generally like them. Watching cat stevens at the mo, and enjoying it. Debbie Harry was absolutely dire

Watched quite a bit of it today. Rick astley blew everyone else off the stage.

Rick is top dog at performing really gets the crowd going with him poor old Elton feeling his age, but played all the classics and the crowd loved him for it !

Lewis capaldi had the crowd singing for him as his voice was going- great entertainment!

Some these 'Stars' don't seem to recognise when the time has come to retire gracefully - Madonna's a case in point, seems to think she's still 40 and attractive.

But what do I know, I don't have a musical bone in my body.

Seeing as I couldn't make it into the school choir, my singing is so far off key, I hesitate to comment - but I thought the Elton sounded pretty good - the odd pub-singer moment, the odd lower than expected note, but 76 yrs old and 2 hours of performing?

Doubt I could do 2 hours of talking!

Debbie Harry? Wow what a mess she looked!
Cat Stevens was really good, some great old songs sung well, I'm not really even a fan of him.
Capaldi was good but his voice was knacked but fair play to him (I didn't know he had Tourets)
Some of the "filler" bands were dire! There was some fat bird in a pink skin tight outfit pretending the crowd loved her, I have no idea what she was shouting about.
