I don't watch Glastonbury, though my wife said all the bands she listened to sounded poor.
We have tickets for Guns n' Roses in Glasgow on Tuesday night, on my bucket list, last saw Iron Maiden many years ago.

Couldnt be bothered being there. My first gig was iron maiden at preston guild hall in 83. Stuck my head in the bass bins. Years later Bruce and Nicko Landed up in a local pub we were in as the Landlord had a drum business and they were talking shop, still got their autographs somewhere, oh and I have tinnitus

He has bursts of energy, but he keeps going quiet and mumbly.
But then again, I saw them at Wembley stadium in 1992, so I have seen them at their peak.
Slash looks like he could drop at any moment too!
I always forget it's 30 years ago now though!
Went to Glastonbury in 1994, nearly died, lost 2 or 3 days in a waking blackout. Silly days.

Was that the local cider ? God it was rough, but by the third pint it was great.

No, don't think I had any alcohol. Don't think I had any food either.
Didn't even have a tent!
All I had was 60 Marlboro and alot of amphetamines.
I wasn't very sensible back then.

His voice is knackered saw them in '87 and again in '92 and they were brilliant.
Mind you I did wonder if they had to wait a couple of hours for axle to turn up on stage.
Like we did back in the day, the other thing I got from watching them tonight was it's a bit like having the record player on the wrong speed ie to slow.
On a positive side through it's good to see he's lost a lot of weight.

Amphetamines, never saw the attraction.
Glastonbury for me was cider and cannabis.
Thank God I kicked the cider habit.
Pretty rare I smoke a spliff nowadays too, just stick to beer.

It was way past my bedtime when I was saw them.
The arrogance of them was lost on me then as I only wanted to see the opening band.

I haven't seen it myself yet,
I belive the raw audio is captured during the proformance's so the sound quality might get sorted out by the time it's put onto iplayer/whatever?
Doesn't sound like there were any problems listening to it live

Watched the manics, at times it sounded like James was just shouting words down the microphone and hoping round the stage, the girl singer lacked volume or talent, some of the other songs were, err, more practiced !

Ive watched about ten mins of Glasto this time ,,, and its been disappointing so far the highlight for me has been the screen at the back of the Pyramid , res is amazing and the refresh rate on what evers feeding it is mighty . Sad that its the show stealer so far , Eltons had plenty of time for this so lets hope he brings his own engineers and what ever feeds being given to the ob truck is sorted by then.

Have to Agee with that, in Manchester '92 they had 'Faith No More' supporting them and thinking back they where probably the better band on the day.

I just watched the start but switched off - felt the same as you.
(Engages GOG mode) Truth be told, wild horses couldn't drag me into a crowd like that, even if I were 1/3rd my current age. Someone once referred to me as on ochlophobe and I didn't disagree.
