Guitar Stand

Since Ive bought a Bass guitar, I need a stand, and just the excuse for another project.

As usual it started off as a simple wood slot together jobby.

That didn’t last long as I lay in the bath tonight I remember I was given something by my Aunty around 1974 when she came back from holiday. Ive always wants to display it but could never think of a suitable background/mount.
Soooo back to the bath, it would make the most awesome guitar stand.

I’ll leave you hanging, as to what it is.

Look forward to seeing what you come up with. I had one of those, for about a day. It was in the family for a few generations, went over to the US, then I sent it back to myself in England and Agriculture and Fisheries seized it.

Shame they are worth a lot of money. This was cut off short, full ones are moon beams.

Yes quite dark Abalone. The whole guitar feels beautifully made, the neck is Panga Panga and walnut, body is Swamp Ash. Finish is called open pore.

Very nice! They’re really versatile basses. I’ve got an Ibanez sr which I think is from the same factory as Cort.
