Guillotine hydraulics help

just thought maybe someone on here might have an idea.

so I’ve got a safan 2.5mtr guillotine year 1979

I got it a while back but only recently had full electrics finished in the workshop. I’ve done a full oil change on it.

pump runs but doesn’t do anything! Blade is sat on its lowest position and isn’t rising maybe someone has an idea of what I can check on it.

Failing that does anyone know of an engineer in the south west that can take a look at it?

It will likely be one of the limit switches is either faulty or has come loose and is/isn't being activated to tell the machine the blade is in its home position.

Is the motor running the right way?,
Has it got a manual / Auto switch, needs to be in auto

Thanks for the replies. Yes had thought it could be a limit switch issue I have actually got a new limit switch exactly the same but I went to replace one of the switches and the inside looks like new

motor is running clockwise when viewed from the back which I had assumed was correct as there’s no markings. Rotating any of the switches doesn’t seem to do anything.

Where does the loose cable that's over the pulley on the left hand side, first photo, go?

Its what I was thinking, moved my press the other day into another building and had to swap two lives.

Thanks for the replies Just switched the motor direction and no change just made even more noise!

the loose cable over the pulley is to do with changing the thickness
