15 years ago I had a week's holiday in Cyprus and I swam in the sea every day I've never had hands that clean. I felt like an office worker.I still have about a litre of the old Manista for the rare occasions I have greasy hands, must have had it 5 years . Yet another good thing about retirement, not having grease ingrained hands!
Nice sting if you've got a cut in the hand/fingersWashing powder with washing up liquid...
Conveniently they seem to live together under the sink![]()
I can't believe it's not butter!margerine
Agree with that. I decant it into a liquid soap pump bottle so that you don't dispense more than you need, which happens with the Swarfega pump.Hate the green Swarfega, could even taste it after washing my hands, went over to Manista, that’s good. Now using orange Swarfega, buy it in a 5 litre can with a pump from Costco, that’s good as well, but cheaper than Manista. If you have a Costco card, or know someone that can get it for you, it‘s about half the price of anywhere else.
Edit, I think the orange Swarfega has some sort of grain bits so it degrades now.
Rozalex. Still available. In the good old days, we used soft soap and sand, worked a treat. Also Resalex? rubbed well into your hands before work.
The best I have used is from Wurth. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-...MIgrH_jpbM7wIVit1RCh2VBAYwEAQYBCABEgLy_vD_BwE

For a while I did that, until the industrial chemist in the unit next door cautioned me that skin cancer was a very real risk. That was 40 years ago and I've never done it since, but over the years I've been exposed to all sorts of muck without the benefit of barrier cream, so who knows how much at risk I am. It's all very opaque.I have used clean engine oil and sugar before or petrol/thinners on a rag - when desparate.
I blagged some barrier cream from work years ago and I'm slowly coming to the end of the container. Unfortunately I never found the make of it.
When it runs out I've got a couple of litres of replacement lined up, and just hope they're as good.
For cleaning the muck off the barrier cream makes Aldi pump soap work really well, as it's not ingrained the way it would be without the barrier.
