i bought one of these https://www.screwfix.com/p/dmp-heavy-duty-polythene-sheet-clear-620ga-4-x-3m/20738 to make a barrier to protect the cortina when doing bodywork on my citroen drilled holes for bolts in angle steel roof, punched holes in poly then fastened on with penny washers and nuts and screwed wood to the bottom to hold it down. has stood up well to grinder/ welder sparks
