Try a bit of paper, fashioned like a washer under the disc.
When the pin holes get worn, turn or grind a mig welder copper tip to pin size.
Stick copper tip in the worn holes.
Then weld around the copper tip.
Knock tip out and dress surface (with another grinder).
Paper ensures a bit of give when undoing nut.
Copper doesn't usually stick to steel.
Welding up holes wear gives you extended nut life.
Nothing to stop you from drilling an extra set of holes in the nut either.
