Hi guys, greetings from the Emerald Isle. Retired guy here and just getting back into welding after many years away from it. Experienced arc and tig welder in the past. Not so much in mig but got myself a small Inverter Fusion Mig 170 and starting a few small projects like security gates etc. At the mo looking to get some advice as to what other people are using to clean down box section. I got a few lengths of various size box just recently and its quoted in a film of oil presumably for protection purposes.
Ive read somewhere that acetone is a good cleaner but its not readily available where I am. Has anyone here any other good suggestions for a suitable degreaser that might be more readily available.
Looking forward to making good contact with like minded guys here. BTW I have an Inverter Fusion TIG plant and also an Inverter Fusion i-tech Cut 40 plasma cutter plus OXY/ACYL welding and cutting torch's.
