Hi folks, will it be ok to spray gravitex over Jotun epoxy primer?
As i learnt the hard wayYes, just make sure you follow the Jotun overcoat times or if you exceed the overcoat window sand to provide a key.
You are better off using a rubberised stone chip like Dinitrol 447. It works better as a stone chip as it's less likely to chip than gravitex which sets hard.
Fancy doing another oneI put 7 litres on the underside of my Alfa 75.
I used Sikaguard 6440 but it's similar to the 447
First coat of Sikaguard 6440 stone chip.
Used a cheap schutz gun and it didn't go well.
The same gun sprayed 3m stone chip fine and this worked ok for a while then the stone chip started building up around the tip and going on in lumps.
I had already preheated the stone chip which helped but all in all not great.

Was going to try another gun, or wait until the weather warmed up, but since I've a pressure pot I'd decided to give it a go. The stone chip isn't any thicker than the 87a after all.

Pressure pot is far nicer to use and gave a better (more closed)...
Fancy doing another one
I still have my H reg Alfa 75 twin spark tucked away!
