Grass Cutting

it's a good time to go moss-killing with some ferrous sulphate,

If I kill all the moss in ours there will be no green left

I haven’t and I’ve no intention of cutting it till late March or early April. I know a man here who cuts his every week of the year.

I love nothing better that having a couple of hours on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon in the sunshine cutting grass, I did ours the weekend just gone in lovely weather. Now just got to keep on top of it every couple of weeks so I haven't got to pick any up, father gets techy about these sort of things

If I leave it to later the topper leaves it in rows then I have to clean up, then I hate it

Did ours about 3 weeks ago, the dogs were getting lost in it.
We missed the last cut last year as it was too wet.

Friday last week. The daffodils are tall enough for me to see them. I've stopped fitting the collection box on my ride-on, instead there is a sheet of plywood to stop the stones from smashing our windows.

On my birthday I was cutting the lawn when my teenage son came home from school. Seeing me behind the mower, he exclaimed, "Oh, Dad, you shouldn't have to mow the lawn on your birthday."

Touched, I was about to turn the mower over to him when he added, "You should wait until tomorrow!"

When our lawn mower broke and wouldn't run, my wife kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed. But, somehow I always had something else to take care of first, the shed, the boat, brewing beer, watching TV. Always something more important to me.

Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point. When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass, busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing scissors.

I watched silently for a short time and then went into the house. I was gone only a minute, and when I came out again I handed her a toothbrush. I said, "When you finish cutting the grass, you might as well sweep the driveway."

The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a limp.
