I’m sure I’ve seen a few questions on here on the lines of software for a sign or logo etc., and I know there are a few photographers on the forum.
I’ve been using Adobe products for about 20 years now, I wouldn’t call myself an expert but I know my way around them - Photoshop and Illustrator anyway. Had hookie licences until I last changed computer, but work are paid up for the full Creative suite anyway so I hadn’t worried about losing it. Then I needed something urgentish recently at home and looked at other options. Ended up buying the full suite of Serif Affinity products (Photo = Photoshop, Designer = Illustrator, Publisher = InDesign...well, not really but great for layouts).
I’ve found a few limitations but there’s usually a workaround. Not a fan of the layer panel but I’ll get used to it.
It’s half price at the moment so the whole lot set me back less than £75 for a permanent licence.
Grab a bargain.
Haven’t messed around with any machines out of Designer yet, that’s my next experiment.
