Why would you attack a brand new worktop with a knife.im not a fan of granite work top otherhallf mate had new put in and cut some food on it scrached the surface she thought it was just marks from cutting on there and used a washing up sponge with the ruff pad on the back and made a half a foot dull mark on the surface she this was the 2nd day after it was installed she rung the company that installed it they said yes granite is very hard to cut but easy to mark with knifes and scowering pads
the company did replace the worktop but still charged them the cost of the granite but not fitting fee that was in the later hundreds
Timber all the way for me. Or maybe polished concrete. Been toying with that idea for a while.I'm thinking they actual miss sold it the guy when selling it hard to damage nice for life she now moved house and put standard work top in the kitchen and said once it gets damaged I can replace 5 times
