What is this cleaning you speak of? Mine gets cleaned when it rains
I do like to keep my car clean and looking good, its why I am happy with brake by wire but would not have another black car! Nice for about 30 seconds after you clean and wax it, then it goes downhill rapidly.

Project Management's (Mrs Tangledfeet) new car, Land Cruiser, has a manual handbrake and she was initially a bit disappointed after the electric one on her previous Discovery - but at least it was one of the mechanical elements that didn't go wrong on it last year before she had enough. Showing her this post has reassured her that it's for the best!
My Mazda 3 has an electric handbrake and I love it... just hope that long-term it doesn't cause aney expensive problems as I plan on keeping it for a while.
