what do i need to use to put on the edging

ive done one allready but its high denicty brease block and rock hard i cant always use the cement lines

idealy fast actting cheap ish and above all strong

I’ve used bonding coat mixed with a bit of cement to fix plaster edgings.

have everything ready as it’s sets quick. Few dabs, apply edging then ad more as required

thanks @gaz1 but hoping for a dob and dab idea as lots of short runs if i have to go that way i will but looking for an easier way if possable

course they will there hardened pins and go in to mortar joints no probs clout nails are as soft as sh..it mild steel

no galvanised pins 1,0mm twin and earth clips work fine

I'm not sure I understand the question, but I think the answer is stainless bead, stuck on with whatever you have to hand that will stick it (basically not important as it will ultimately be held on by the render)

When we had our extension built and rendered this is how the builder did the corners. Think they were nailed on. Been about ten years and still ok.

The bead is not there to hold on the render. It's there to provide a sharp edge to work up to and, to some extent, protect against abrasion right at the tip of any corners.

So, essentially, the render holds the bead on rather than the other way around. All you need to do is stop it moving about when you're working up to it, nothing more than that.

Admittedly I've not down a load of rendering. But I did pay some attention on the 6 week level 2 plasterer course I attended earlier this year, and this is where my comments are comming from.

Ive got a render job comming up. I'll probably use some sort of grab adhesive, as sparingly as possible so as not to fill much of the bead mesh, and any and all metalwork will be stainless.

But as with any trade, ask a question and you will get a load of different answers. Most of which will work in varying degrees. Again all I'm doing is regurgitating what I was taught.

Gripfill is what I used, but I will say if your bead isn't straight or the wall isn't perfect you will want to pin it because the gripfill won't hold.

watching a few vids online pink grip seams to a go to and then might add a few 1mm cable cilps just in case i will post a pic when ive done some from a very far away so you cant see the inperfections

wont need the pink grip just the clips and you can set em up with a spirit level
