We have been asked to look for any Welding software that would be useful / interesting for 16-19 yr old students to use - we have a budget (not sure yet of the limit) to use.
Has anyone any ideas? All ideas welcome…..
Our fronius VR machine was 18k.....i’d wager most welding software is going to be expensive in-house stuff for robotic welding or gameboy-style welding.
doubt you’re going to find anything like what you’re after, especially if the word “budget” is involved in any capacity!
Our Lincoln VRTEX was 20k each…..they are quite brilliant, though. Our fronius VR machine was 18k.....
“TIG pen” is a product which aids in wire feeding.Good ideas. Always disliked the idea of a TIG pen as cheating?
I use it more to demonstrate somewhat what they will be looking aT/for when welding, but I agree the actual practice side of it is much differentI have access to Fronious portable V-welder. Great kit for events, I'm not convinced of their use within training environ. Do half a day on V-welder, then other half within welding workshop.....................they are like rabbits in the headlights!!
Anyone used "Soldamatic" V-welder, reads like this kit has lots of bells and whistles for a portable unit.
