Good idea for bench grinder?

I've got a spare A4 sheet of magnetic plastic (the sort of thing you cut up and use on magnetic whiteboards).
I was wondering about putting it between my bench grinder and the bench to catch ferrous crud.

A good idea or a waste of time?

Put a plasic bag over it the when ready to clear pull bag off and it will all fall away

A waste of time, most of the dust is from the wheel, just suck it up with a vacuum cleaner.

My 30+ year old Clarke grinder has a shroud with stub on the back for connecting to vacuum.

Just do what i do and use your face to catch all the muck Anyone who has done polishing with mops will know the face im,e on about after an hour

Many come with some sort of outlet, I have seen many of them modified to hold some sort of bag below the guards to catch the waste.
