No i haven't tried the soap bar version. It was in a pump dispenser. Same company but I think it was discontinued. I bought a load cheap. Truly brilliant. Sadly used my last one now. Maybe I will try a bar.
The Comna Manista is a close 2nd though. Smells lovely and works well.
Don't know if anyone has mentioned pre-work creams? I never seemed to find them much good, but someone on here suggested PR88 a good few years ago - it was relatively cheap then, so I got some. It's not quite so cheap now, but I'm still using it.
Allows normal dirt, grease etc to be washed off with hand soap. Does a good job with paint, silicon etc, but they need a bit more oomph behind the soap to get off - but way less than if you were't using the cream.
Keep the tub on my work bench - its bright yellow and stands out, so I rarely forget to apply it - doesn't need much, but it really does go a long way.

I used to buy alot of spare parts from a local classic Mercedes breakers yard. I was in their yard every other Saturday sometimes
They had a tub of hand cleaner that was like compressed washing powder. Wow was it great stuff and removing any amount of engine oil or grease from your hands. The lidl hand wash is just like it and works fantastic.

Oh don't bother with the pump, I never have done.
I'm sure they either used to or still do, a lemon scented one, very easy on the nose!

The Lidl hand cleaner that people are on about here has been discontinued some time ago unfortunately. It came in a round tub about 500ml and was sawdust based I think. Shame as it was the best I've used as well. It was never a normal stock item, came round on the middle aisle now and then.
Loctite orange hand cleaner is pretty good.
I'm currently using Silverhook yellow mellow hand cleaner, won't be buying again as it's not that good for work on cars really. It's cheap though.

Since the 1960s using green Swarfega, I’ve used most and the Wurth was by far the best. Nowadays I generally wear nitrile gloves even for gardening.
It is still in our lidl regularly!
Nor me - just grab a handful. Now they have stopped that lava stuff I always use the Manista. First used it in 1984Oh don't bother with the pump, I never have done.

I've seen it on ebay for 4x the price I used to pay for it from Lidl. Wondered where they got it from, just looked at the listing and see they are in NI so that explains it!
Little update from my perspective- decided to try the Comma Manista - it smells nicely of Lemon- and works in a Swarfega hand pump 
Tried it out properly today after the oil change on the diesel Volvo- I am very pleased- very clean hands, and I reckon it must have some type of conditioner in there as my hands feel lovely and soft (It’s all relative I know)
Great choice- I am a convert!
