Good degreaser/solvent squirty bottles

Who makes a reasonably good squirty bottle for this stuff? I get a free trigger bottle with a gallon of WD40 and it doesn't last the gallon before the plunger starts leaking or the trigger fails. I am looking for something that I can re-fill in the workshop endless times and it'll still keep working.

I have see pressure-pot type where you pumped them up with a plunger on top - what are they like and where do you get them?

ive just soldered a car valve on a large ice de-frosting tin..fill it up from a big syringe from the gallon container then pump the tin up with compressed air just like pumping your tires up to 100psi,hey presto a working areosol that can be re-filled. search it on youtube.

VW had an offer on recently where you got a free squirty bottle when you bought 20l of brake cleaner. Its designed to work with solvents in it. I've tried the ones you get in garden centres etc. and they dont last any length before the stop pumping/start leaking as the solvent attacks them. It's a very good offer €40 for the lot.

after a succession of short lived freebies I bought three of these two years ago and they are still going strong
One each for Brake cleaner, soluble degreaser and Duck oil.

Only adverse comment is that they are a bit top heavy and fall over/off the bench rather easily but none have broken yet . However if you look at their website they do more squat, wider based ones.

I've just bought a Granville HD sprayer, will have to see how it goes, as the shop was local I collected it and got myself an early birthday present while I was there

£20L of brake cleaner for £40 isn't too bad in itself compared to buying aerosol tins. I wonder if the VW dealers over here are doing it?

It's quantum brand stuff, it's really good. Works out cheaper buyin it this way. You can fill bowl with it and leave a part soaking in it which is handy.

Just bought from local (Ashford Kent) motor factor 5ltr cans for £10+vat. A lot of the fleabay offers look good until you get to the carriage charge!!

The shop I got the sprayer from had 5lts of cleaner for £12.60 + £2 carriage so I picked one up while I was there.

A useful thread and may well try one of the solvent sprayers but....

I have just started using old Carex hand soap dispensers and they seem to last ok with wd40

The ones you get with 5l tins of duck oil arnt too bad, never tried solvent in them tho.
