I've always wanted a ls v8 but unsure where and how much to pay seen some but were big money there are so many different types and specs anyone know the ls engines
Thanks for the reply Have you a link? What sort of hp do they makeReal Steel have lm7 cut outs for £1100. These are the iron block version and come with transmission
Was looking at them there the manual gearbox seems to be a problemFind a written off Jag , the AJ engines are pretty bomb proof the super charged V8's are knocking on the door of 400 bhp as standard and will do a lot more . Down side would be you'd need the ECU , I dont know if you'd find a manual box for it though but the ZF hp26 is a good unit and plentiful for bits as it's so many vehicles .
Paul i went the LS route a while back when the cost of getting more horsepower from a rover v8 was far out weighed by going the chevy route, knocking on 400 nowOpen used engines and it's a pdf list of engines for sale.Real Steel

They are about 290bhp but it's very easy to get lots more
I believe that @jsf55 has one in his Pop.
Rover V8s have shot up in price compared to a few years ago. I wanted one for an off road buggy and thought I would pick a runner up for a few hundred pounds. Closer to £1k for anything working now and even thats a gamble .Rover V8s are fairly cheap and with a manual gearbox, Fords are the same but some come with an autobox, Real Steel do a lot of bits for Rovers and Fords, there are also chevrolet lots of bits.
