Glazing tool help

I have to put some Glass in Winchboys Landrover, dug out the tool for putting the key strip in but the wire hoop and the end is snapped? any ideas where I can get a replacement without buying the whole tool?

personally id buy a new tool, but have you not got any 3mm wire

Coat hanger. Old umbrella. Bicycle spoke, annealed.

Its just a bit of wire, they are not that bend resistant. Argoshields suggestion of a bicycle spoke is probably spot on.

A small length of 2 mm tig filler wire (stainless if possible) form the diamond shape and twist the ends together then use some mole grips as the handle.

I used this method years ago when I snapped my bead tool while fitting a window in a forklift.

Never actually used a special tool to put the strip back in, just apply a bit of silicone cockpit spray and tap them in with a plastic mallet. It's not a security strip as you can Stanley the rubber it is just to expand the retaining strip to grip the glass .
