Glass cups and o-rings

Hello. I want to make my own micro tig torch. I know is not a good idea, but I want to try. Wht worts part is the conecction between the torg and the cup. But, I have seen these glass cups



What type of glass is? Pirex? and the o-rings? Once identified the materials, I think I can buy them in other places, because the originals are crazy expensive

I'd be surprised if the cost of the ceramic or glass greatly affects the quality of the weld. A good gas coverage and being able to see the weld puddle does, so size and seal is important. I used some generic glass cups off eBay with green orings (Viton?) and never had an issue.

The OP states his application is a micro torch, I would guess something in the same ballpark as a CK MR70.

Do you have a non-OEM, reasonably-priced source for glass cups and O-rings for that class of torch?

Sure, such things are available for a CK9, but the smaller torches, due to their much more limited use, are less widely catered for in aftermarket consumables. That is capitalist economics - supply and demand.

Sorry, didn't twig it was for a much smaller application than the usual wp9.
