Its not even anything that impressive, but, as you are aware, ive had some issues with it. None the least of which was that, when it was all pretty much done, some errors, umm, came to light (the intended contents would not fit) and so out came the plasma cutter....

And then respray. Again...

Its a late stage prototype. The base is no good at all and needs sorting. And then, hopefully, the issues will be addressed so as i dont have to plasma cut any more.

Anyway, 2-off these went out the door about 45mins ago, for delivery overseas on Monday.

I think the writing is probably going to be lost on final versions anyway, and replaced with symbols. I wont pretend to fully understand what it is, but its something to do with recordings by locals in developing world / war zones etc. Its supposed to be simple to use by non-native speakers.

Again though, i may be talking absolute tosh, and have gotten the wrong end of the stick entirely!

I think that’s the right way how it is. My audio interface has 2 inputs 1 and 2 left to right and it’s a bugger to get #2 in once 1 is already plugged. So I tend to use 2 as the main channel.

Nice work though. What’s the ballpark for a prototype like that - 2 or 3 zeroes?

I'm billing the same for the prototypes as I will for the 10-20 unit run - £100 a unit.

So a couple of hundred quid for this pair is far too cheap, but a hundred quid a unit for the run is probably too much. But it all evens out and hopefully everyone is happy in the end.

The people, ultimately paying the bill are, I think, a charity, and it's an interesting job, so I've tried to present fair pricing rather than trying to milk it all along the way.

Have a mixer I'm going to put back into service over the winter and wanting to update it's colouring.

Looks to be 2mm stainless
This is from the smaller parts donor I've just stripped

Would that be something you could help with.
Ideally just black with white markings/letterings same as the original.
