Seems they are literally giving them away. Tried adding one to the basket to look at the postage and the price came up as £0.00. The smaller ones are advertised at throwaway prices. Should imagine they'll be very easy to break though.

I wonder how much the consumables are. Even so I am tempted by the one that cuts upto 8mm, I only ever do car body work.

I did the same, but I think the reason there's no price at that point is that you have to be logged on. The yellow background indicates that, I think. Although that is blue if you get there from the spares page...
But 90 quid for the wee one is incredible. A plasma torch costs more than that.
More research required. I may blow £90 + vat +delivery tomorrow, just for a laugh. I've already got a plasma cutter and was checking out this site for spares. They are very competitively priced and cover just about every model on the market. They have a machining service for non stock items if you can supply a sample consumable.
BTW, not trying to plug these boys, just all seems, well, TGTBT. But who knows? Its a pretty good website and the company must be looking for a decent reputation. And £90 for a plasma cutter.......?????

I think they are worth a go. You will get your moneys worth of cutting before they are throw away. Not positive but I think that is a Riland machine.
It looks identical to mine and all put out on differerent labels like Greenbird Mitec Chiry etc. I thought this would happen. Someone has stepped in and bought the numbers thereby absorbing some of the shipping costs that individuals pay. They have effectively set up some kind of dealership. The other machines will folow......Tigs etc.

Got to be some thing wrong. £90 is just to cheap. Also how can the 30amp one cut 8mm when every one else says 35amps will do about 4mm (bet they are quoting a cut from both sides)?

Boy would I love this to be a real life sized genuine offer. Would love to have one just cant justify the normal cost.

Well if anybody manages to get one they can let us know. Watched a boy in metal supermarkets the other day cut through 15mm beam with a Ceborra. He had worked as a plater in the shipyard. I asked him what he thought of Cebora cutter as opposed to oxy acy and he said it was crap. Some of those shipyard guys were brill with the gas torch though.

I think plasma cutters take the skill out of cutting like migs take the skill out of welding. Tig and MMA and Oxy cutting are far more versatile but far more difficult. Thank god for technology so the rest of us can play too!

Stick welding is a very good way to learn how to weld. You get a lot more hand skill practise and loads of clues where its all going wrong with mma. Slag inclusions, slag hard too remove, gas holes, colour of the weld etc. MIG welds don't seem to say as much about themselves as MMA welds!

Gas welding is a pretty genteil sport as well.

Has anyone gone ahead and ordered one of these?
I have got to the stage where I've input my credit cards details and on the order confirmation page it STILL says that the item cost is £0.00
I wouldn't mind one of these for the £11 cost of postage, but don't actually NEED one, so I'm wary of being charged the £120 advertised on a different page, so I haven't hit the "confirm order" button yet!

Any thoughts anyone?

They can take whatever they want once they have your details!! £90 is just way too cheap for a 35amp Plasma machine.
