Ginder inner bore adapter

Hi,

I made the muppet mistake of buying 100mm discs for my grinder which takes 115mm discs.
Is there an off the shelf adapter for 100mm discs (think its 100mm id)?

I would just throw them in the bin but I bought 50 of the b*@%^&dy things.

I expect they can be got for much less - I suppose it partly depends what you paid for the discs, whether it's worth it, or not!

You can get ones that go up but I have not seen one that goes down.
If you did find one it's going to be a bit long and will probably be a bit unstable when trying to grind with it. Maybe ok as a one off if you needed to get into a tight area but not for 50 discs!

You could sell the discs to me cheaply and I will put them in the drawer with the 4" grinder I have never used.
Or I could sell you a new 4" grinder if you like.

115mm disc has 22mm bore.

100mm disc has a 16mm bore (5/8").

There are a couple of members that use 100mm discs, resell them or throw them...

And in addition, 115mm machine has M14 spindle thread, so if the adaptor is not to poke out beyond the spindle, it could only have 1mm wall thickness.

But, strangely enough, someone in China does make something like what the OP wants:

Trouble is, the back flange won't fit it and using a disk without supporting flanges is dodgy to say the least.

My grinder doesnt accept the 100mm disc, I know some take both but sadly not mine.

I dont fancy a disc shattering on me so I think these are going in the drawer until I get something they fit.
Wont make this mistake again, hopefully.

I did consider the arbor kits you
can get for a drill, but Id be there all day trying to cut through 3m of 4mm plate.

Id hoped there may be a simple adapter as I bet this a common mistake. The fact there isnt any readily available adapter is probably telling me its super dangerous thing to attempt to do.

What 4 inch grinder do you have?
I'm after a 4 inch to fit between my 41/2 and 2 inch.
I use the 2 inch when I can't get the 41/2 in. It works but it is slow, a 4 inch might fit in tighter spots.

Funnily enough iv just bought some 4 1/2'' when i needed 4'' i would say fancy a trade but a. iv only got 20 an b. the postage would prolly be nearly as much as the discs were
