Been with giffgaff for a while now and have been really happy with them especially for the cost, I have the mobile phone and the dongle with them. They have gone down when o2 has gone down but for what I pay and what I get I can't complain. Also not being in a contract means I have no worries and since all my friends and family are moving to giffgaff I need less and less call time
ive been with giff gaff for about a year and a half. they are owned by 02 and are pretty good. if you get stuck with anything then they have a giffgaff forum thats full of clever people.
I'm in the first month with GG, had an issue initally 'cause their website was down so it took about 36hrs to get going, now ok. I'm on a £10pm goody bag and thats plenty for me by the look of it.
I was with O2 before so no bother, but check coverage especially if you get around a bit.
I'm might be interested in connecting the phone to my laptop and go up to unlimited data in the future. I'm currently on a mobile broadband business deal with Orange (unlimited evening and w/e 1meg in day) for £12pm but I can see the Orange mast so that may be best to stick with for the time being. BT broadband here is rubbish, or at least the neighbours is!
GIFF GAFF all the way my customers pay my phone bill every month ( for every minute a non GG phone phones mine i get a minute credit), its a no brainer mind you if you want to pay for poncey adverts on telly, high street stores manned by oxygen thieifs or Shazza manning the phone 24/7 just in case you have a problem its not for you.
Ps they buy the bandwidth from O2 not owned by them if you get good O2 in your area then go for it
+1 for GiffGaff we have 3 phones on them and it works great. Plus calls between giffgaff phones are free (1 hour then hang up and fail again if you need more) it cheaper than using the land line for her in doors to talk to the kids.
Used them for more than a year no problems; ported 2 numbers over, all good.
1 of our phones was second hand and locked to O2 but as others have already stated they lease bandwidth from O2 so this wasn't a problem.
No contract you just choose what you need each month plus they send you an email to advise on best deal based on previous months usage.
