The force of friction alone holds the prop on?

Not seen it but I have removed and replaced props like that on a Superyacht. You basically pump in 9000psi of oil between the shaft and the prop, then a smaller ring pushes the prop with it's now expanded hub into place on its bed of high pressure oil. Release the pressure and the prop shrinks onto the shaft.
Removal is the reverse of fitting except they don't half come off with a bang!
