Giant O ring?

Got a project that needs a large o ring, but I am struggling to find anything suitable.

Dimensions are id:25-30mm cross section 15-20mm

Would this still be called an O ring or something else, maybe a seal?
I had looked at universal o ring exhaust hangers, but the cross cut is to small.

Any ideas?

Give them a call they do all sorts of seals and o-rings so would be able to help you out im sure

These guys go up to 30mm in Nitrile cord to make up your own rings with, you've got to buy a meter at a time though.

That's a large cross section of the dia, you will have real problems trying to make one out of cord. Have you thought of making a former and casting one. Or using a lip seal

Its not for anything technical, its to hold 2 sticks together, to use as a bipod for shooting.

try halfords, i use an exhaust rubber for mine. my mate uses an old milking teet cut down. but to be honest i prefer a thumb stick (less clatter)

Cant you use 'shock cord' the type of stuff they use on fishing chairs, this is elastic and of the right dia you are looking for.

At the moment I am using rolled up cricket bat grips which do the job well, but perish to quickly.
Will have a look at the shock cord (like thinner bungee ropes?) and other exhaust mounts in the morning when I am more awake

I shoot with a friend who is into his deer stalking, his sticks are just joined with a single bolt and he uses bungee cord to keep them together and rattle free when we are walking.

Hi, you could also have a look at the 'rubbers' used in 'peacock safety stirrups' NO this is not some dodgy apparatus for keeping the swmbo tied up far a couple of hrs for some peacfull welding time.
They are about 75mm round and 10mm diameter, look on the fleabay for the above it may be an easy solution.
