just burnt a tablespoon full in and old roasting tin. Smoked and stank like crazy. Not going to get away with that

Needs the correct amount of air whilst preferably sprayed or dripped onto a red hot surface, which can be kept red hot by the previous flame.

Old style blow torches had a lightly pressurised tank and the pipe ran through the flame before the nozzel to preheat the fluid.
