Either use it for parts cleaning, or put it into the tank, a little at a time.

Yes anything goes in there. Brake fluid, engine coolant. If they wanted you to put it seperately they would have a seperate tank for it. Likely all gets burnt and relatively east to seperate off the layers once it has settled by whoever recycles it before burning.
As someone else said, great for cleaning down oily parts, engines gearboxes etc, we dubbed this "rat pi55 petrol" and used it all the time for cleaning. I have used it in a paraffin gun on the compressor in the same way (just don't have a fag on the go at the same time)

I do similar just keep putting all my mixed oily whatever into a 25 ltr drum, the. Waste oil thing at the tip.

I've used old petrol (5 years old) without any issues...I did stick it through a filter though and into a 3/4 full tank. Didn't have any problems...diesel might be a bit different if it has stuff growing in it!

The chaps at the tip said engine oil is ok in their tank but they can’t take petrol or diesel in it. I’m not trying to sneak 15 litres of the stuff into the waste oil. I’ve done that with coolant before though. id rather try burning it. Might have to make a small burner of some kind (I kind of know what I’m doing as I used to design oil burners

I have a 25l container in the garage. All car engine / gearbox oil changes, brake fluid etc gets dumped into it then when full get deposited in the council oil tank.
I might service 6 or 7 cars a year with our own and a rew friends or relatives cars so emptied couple of times a year. I had about 4l of coolant in it as well last time. Most councils don't stand over you or test what your putting into it.

If you have a heating oil tank I'd just chuck it in there, it'll have no effect diluted with 1200 litres of the real stuff.

ill take it., im in st austellThanks for the suggestions. I’m not putting any of it in my car. Just dont want to risk it. It’s a 3 cylinder TSI engine. I’m in mid cornwall if anyone wants it. You also get 3 free 5 litre fuel cans - 2 green and 1 black. Can deliver within 10 miles of st austell
