Went to get paint last week, and paint shops are all closed till next week, going to shoot primer on in my garage then taking to my mates garage to use his booth.
Don't forget to post a few more photos as you progress...always makes me jealous seeing something like this..I loved prepping a car and reaching the final stages before the paint and nothing beats removing the tape and refitting nice clean or rechromed bits back on... the good old days lol, I may have to find myself a project for next winter.
hahah, what you could do for your fetish is come up and give me a hand, just when l think the prepping is finished,l see another bit lm not happy with and have to prep,lm getting there.
WOW! nice car. I like Porsches, am about to start work - a mini resto on my 1990 944S2.
Please- please- do keep us updated with pics. BTW, I would also shoot the primer in your mates paint booth, that way you can use 2-pack paint (which Porsches were originally painted in) for the primer as well as the top coat.
It looks a bit of a dull shine but should compound up ok, The dust has probably come from having the heater running, better to get up to temp and switch off.did you wet the floor slightly ???
Hi thats it all been flattened with 1500 wet and dry, then went over it with G3 cutting polish on a polisher then glazed it with auto glym resin polish.
