Getting car higher for spraying

Hi,

When spraying/repairs I use 4 car ramps, I don't drive up them, jack the car up, slide the ramps under
Then wind the ramps up.
I would like to modify the ramps fixing 4 wheels under each ramp this should allow me to push the car side to side allowing a larger working ares,
Should work,
However have I missed a safty point
Should work like wheel trolleys

I'd devise some method of joining the ramps together, if one catches on something when you're moving the car it may come off the ramp.

yeah sounds a bit crashy anything over a couple of inches off the ground

You can buy dedicated wheel trolleys from the likes of Machine Mart and others. I find them invaluable, but they are a pain on tarmac. They are excellent on a hard concrete floor.

problem is as I see it tyres aren't an exact science they move and flex and would allow the ramps to do their own thing when jacked up as rtb says I would want to connect the ramps and form a rectangle maybe even several long 10mm studding through holes in the angle iron frames, then you could lock nuts either side of the angle and then you could easily adjust the fastening position of the four corners, to give SOME rigidity and uniform movement.

The above is great for moving the car about, I'm talking about moving the car about when it is on the ramp
Botom of wheel of the ground aproxamatly 14 ins, not to get under it but do body work etc to the ceals etc
The height is needed as my poor bloody knees are knackerd

That is what I use the dollies for. They raise the car off the ground.

Sorry I must be a bit thick, the dollies in the pic only lift the car of the ground three to four inches
Or I am I mistaken
I'm looking for 14 inches of the ground

I appreciate that they are not 14 inches, but then that height is going to be very unstable. I compromise on the height and ease of geting to the underside!
