genset mpm 8/300 welding problems

ive a genset diesel welder generator and its not welding properly. the socket outlets all seem to be working fine but when i weld, it seems to be burning really high. i used a 3.2 rod and when its set at around 90 amps ,it will pretty much burn a hole in 10mm plate in seconds. ill try post some pics or a video tomorrow. anybody any idea what the problem would be

Like yours, that machine was fine as a generator, but the weld current was running uncontrolled, flat-out all the time. The electronics printed circuit board had already been replaced without solving the problem. I was suggesting that one or more of the power semiconductors may have gone short-circuit. That was 3 years ago, we never did hear back what the outcome was.
