Hi folks,
This is my first post on here so please be patient. I'm trying to resurrect a Genset MPM 8-300 I-EL, have it nearly working. The single phase is definitely working and I expect so is the three phase but the last issue is that the amp output on the welder is not controllable, it's full on all the time. I tried a new electronic PCB but that didn't make any difference and as far as I can see the windings seem good i.e getting voltage and will absolutely eat a 3mm rod. I see from the circuit diagram (attached) that there are a few SCRs in a heat-sink assembly so I'm wondering if this could be my issue? Are they prone to failing? (this is an older machine), can they be sourced? would anyone have a spare?
Any and all info greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
