Great on cars but I find it pretty useless against workshop grime.
I use it for all sorts, just vary the dilution rate.

learn something new every day didn't know there was abrasive in scotchpads . I don't use them on any engines or bearing surfaces apart from machine beds and chucks etc to get surface rust off with wd then wipe clean with blue towel before useHi, Be careful using scotchbrite around open engine and machines. -

I was using IPA as a general cleaner but now another one using Elbow Grease. The wife can’t understand why we go through so much of it, obviously doesn’t realise she is supplying the garage too.
+ 1 for Surfex, it gets used around the house as a general purpose cleaner as well.Been using the BH surfex hd recently and can report it is truly excellent!
Used it to clean up some parts before cold blueing and it did a fine job.. something that is very sensitive to oil and grease.

I have some Lemsolv at work, brilliant stuff without the fumes.
