It makes my tribulations with my wifes MG6 1st motion input bearing a tad trivial..I too know the "pleasure" of rebuilding the Renault PF gearbox. Mine had 3 problems, selector bushing was goosed (and unlike others can only be replaced by splitting the gearcase), 5th/6th synchro spring had snapped preventing 6th gear from working and when inspecting it the 6th gear bearing was worn (Apparently quite common on these). Took every last drop of my 12t press to get the shaft apart to get at the synchro.
