the structure is designed for light weight materials not roof materials where the wind can grab hold of the structure and lift it
even tents suffers wind issues and can be blown away but roof materials are worse
i will show you other builds one is adapted

properly bought metal roof gazebo take note of the strength on the cross members
you can strengthen the cross members easily with 0.8 angle tin roof
as goes for the corners use x2 roof ridge at each corner and use foam inserts

Only weight will be metal roof panels. Like ones above. I was thinking of metal cross members to strengthen whole frame

a curved support is just as good if you note the 1st video easy enough done with 1mm box section
even if you just bolt and nut the support it would be enough
