Myself personally, I wouldn't be hanging any gate that size directly off the brick side elevation, as tempting as it might be.

Sink some 75mm or 100mm box section to act as posts to hang gate off, the other post used as a method of latching/securing gate.

There's a 6mm SWA along side the house, right where a post would go.

Then shift placement of post hole just enough to accommodate SWA, from your photos there appears plenty of room or hang/hinge gate, otherside via a post or and I have to say I'm not entirely convinced of this solution as to fixture, stability and success, is take a post, weld it to a thick steel plate that's bolted into the ground/pad stone.

Unfortunately I can't say anything on welding, it is a skill I wish/need to acquire, clearly strong welds would be required and extra strengthening/bracing between post end and plate and then galvanised but in my mind the plate could be buried and it would look like a post in the ground, done well it might well succeed and last.
