After much faffing about managed to get the gate made, AND fitted!!! =D
The old one was like cardboard, so anything was an improvement.
Enjoyed this project, a lot of thought had to go into how hinges etc work, the welding side of it wasnt too bad.
The wood is decking boards, not the best but can be replaced easy enough, as its held in (sandwiched) by some angle on the rear just screwed in.
....and it weighs a ton!
Another lesson learnt, the sparks from a welder hurt like hell when they land in your shoe!...RIP new socks! - and have a nice reminder of a hole in my foot LOL
