Hello, looking for some guidance /asssitance on gate design.
The basics this is a drive between 2 properties. The property to the left is a neighbour, who I have so-so relationship with, so would rather not require fixing anything to that side
Property to the right is mine. The space between the 2 is roughly 3.7m.
The idea is to set this gate 5 meters back so a vehicle can be parked in front without opening gates (roughly 2 meters away from the soil stack towards the photographer)
The gate would be inward opening so going back against the side wall of my property, you'll notice the soil stack and drainage so the post will need to be set off the wall to allow for that.
Another issue to consider is that on the left under the tarmac is some troughing for electric cables !
To further complicate things I'd like a pedestain gate within the large gate, this would be the post side
The plan is to have this electrically operated and electric release of the pedestrain gate
Given the limited space and some of the reasons above i'd like to go for one gate ? is the acheivable/ desirable ..over to you
The concrete slab as you can see is broken and will have to be extensively broken up to fit gates and deal with addition drainage.
Ultimatley the plan is for a resin bonded drive way to go in ..but thats a whole seperate discussion
