Hello from the forum Newbie!
I have one principal material to weld to complete the Clubman chassis I bought 98% finished and that is 16swg 1" x 1" square tube.
I have a 200A MIG (Gas and Gasless) and to save cost I have elected to go the gasless route.
The question is, which wire size should I use? I have looked at the calculator on this great forum and used that to (roughly) gauge voltage, but wire speed (and thus current) is still not consistently good. My thought is that the 0.9mm wire I bought with it is too big and I should be being more delicate with the material.
The MIG works fine and feeds the wire at a consistent speed with no drags, kinks or hang ups.
Help, oh wise Brains Trust; you're our only hope.
Cheers,
Chris.
