gasless mig weld on thin steel

Hey eveyone I am having trouble welding thin sheet mild steel I am using a sealey mighty mig 100 with 0.9mm flux core wire the voltage is on min and I have turned the wire speed to 1 to try and stop blowing holes but its still pretty difficult

How thin is thin and how good is your fit up??

You won't be able to run a constant bead you will have to use the thin metal technique as shown in the tutorials. you need the wire speed at the correct setting to maintain a constant arc.

hi mate i had them set side to side so there was no gap and they were flat if you get what i mean im not sure about thickness tbh i think there about 1mm now ive watched that tutorial i can see why it wasnt working haha ill try uppin the wire speed aswell

if it sounds like a deep ish buzzinf/fizzing noise then the wire speed isn't quick enough then it starts popping its too quick.

it was making a strange buzzing noise which it didnt make last time i welded a slighty thicker plate but with the wire speed on 5 i guess i just need to practice and up the wire speed 1 notch each time cheers for the advice m8
