Hi all me again i am teaching myself to gas weld Aluminium dropped myself in the deep end nothing new there.
The old Bonet for my lotus eleven is 50 years old and 20 guage now i have loads of rods at 2.5 mm i have had them for years will i be better of using a smaller rod say 1mm or 1.5 i am managing to stick bits together and improving slowly. It has to be gas welded as some of the repair panels will be put through the wheeling machine to get the shape i need any advice appreciated As you can see the headlights have been cut out and all around the air intake has heavy damage so will have to be cut out and replaced.
