Gas welder inquiry

I was wondering if Onan portaweld gas welders are used in your neck of the woods?
I just picked up new to me mid 60s portaweld which needs a bit of tlc,
I’m looking for a wiring diagram / picture of the ignition switch that some malcontent pilfered and cut the wires
I have found a couple of diagram’s on the web but they are so out of focus I can’t pick heads or tails of them.
The ignition switch is obsolete of course so I got to figure out replacement for it..

Thanks for the interest my good man,I opened it up and did find the correct wiring diagram so I might have to use 2 switches to get the right result,,the original switch has 5 poles so I think I can use a 2 pole in series with a 3 pole..and turn them both on at the same time on start up

The first Manuel is for the general operation and not much about any internal wiring and the second is about gensets,they would power a lot of motor homes and campers etc.
They have a external starting motor where the portaweld starts by a pull start without 12 volt battery assist or use the welder head to turn over the engine with the 12 volt battery..the battery assist is the type I have and both have different internal ignition switch wiring..

I've generally found that the wiring systems used on the base engine, can be different depending on the age and application/usage some 2 cylinder Onans use one ignition coil with 2 HT leads, while other use 2 single HT lead coils, but very little info on why???

I've always looked at the base layout, then tried to work out to get it to run, I once worked for a Forklift Manufacturer, and some of their trucks were wired differently to others of the same model built within a month of each other, delivered to the same customer, "Fag Pack Engineering" I used to call it......

On the post you mentioned “ page 93”. That is the exterior primary and secondary ignition system..
I’m looking for the on/off ignition switch wiring on the interior of the housing.it’s below the twist fine adjustment knob.the 5 wires have been cut and the switch was removed.so I need a switch and to know what wire goes where..cheers
