gas to gasless conversion

have purchased old autoplus 180 mig from my dad and want to convert it to gasless. I have been told to change polarity insde machine and have found a wiring diagram on website but not sure if all i have to do is change polarity at work- and torch+. please advise if able to help.

Yes, the torch should be - and the work should be + for gasless welding. Of course without gas, you'll need to use flux core wire. That should do it..

you will also need to use a bigger tip and different roller for the flux wire as its bigger
