gas shroud need help!!!!

Hi all

i have just picked up a Sealey MightyMIG 130xt. all seems to be working fine but the gas shroud is very burnt and warped so i want to change it over. I have had a look on the internet at some replacements but there are so many out there i don't know what to go for! Its currently running 0.6mm wire and i have a spare tip (inner bit the wire feeds through) but its the large bullet shaped part i need!

can anyone send me a link with the type i will need? Preferably ebay or the like so i can paypal it.

the shroud i have at the moment is pretty much cylindrical without the taper at the end. does it matter what shape they are? I know it is there to reduce the effect wind will have on the gas but is that all it is there for?

probably not. Is the one you have now a spot weld one with little legs? They are straight.

But what do I know I havent got a sealey.

I am running 0.6mm wire, is this tick enough for body panels (working on an old mini) or do i need 0.8mm wire?

0.6 is correct for what you have planned, you may find your gas shroud is a bit of pipe the previous user has adapted, give Steve a ring on the weldequip shop link at the top...helpful guy and will sort it for you.

I would guess they are too big for yours, but as said above ring weldequip he is likely to be able to help you.

Those are for a Binzel torch, you need parts for a hobby torch. Binzel shrouds are not threaded they just twist on a spring to tension them and the tips are a larger thread and more heavy duty.
