Hi,
I have a second-hand Clarke 135TE without a regulator. I am new to welding, and don't have any gas yet either. I'll get a small disposable bottle first, to practise with, before deciding if I want something larger on lease.
My question is regarding replacing the regulator. From what I have learned the larger bottles have larger fittings, so wondering if it's worth saving money the first time around and purchase a larger regulator, and then some converter to connect to the disposable bottle. Or are there little savings to be made; i.e. the small/cheap regulator is the cost of the large-small converter anyway.
I hope that made sense. Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks!
