Gas regulator etc

Hi,
I just purchased a secondhand welder. With it I got a half full bottle of gas.I think it is a pub type bottle.I would like to have an argon/co2 set up with a flow meter etc. What equipment is required?

"Standard" arg/co2 mix for mig would be supplied in a cylinder with an internal 5/8 bsp thread (unless you have loads of money for a posh air products cylinder!!)

So your shopping list would be; Gas cylinder, single stage regulator to match, hose tail to fit your existing hose (and a flow gauge, although not strictly necessary for mig)

Where in the UK are you based?? I may be able to suggest a supplier.
