Evening folks, as a great lover of solid fuel Rayburn's, (I own two), I couldn't resist an immaculate cream gas version, original, not a conversion. According to Rayburn's website between 2 and 4 kilos of gas per day. I know the most economical way to buy gas is to have a big tank installed in the garden. Does anyone have one? And can give me an idea of running costs? It will do hot water and central heating, the house will be we'll insulated and double glazed.
Normally we light the rayburn end of October and it runs for 5 months 24/24 till the end of March. On average we consume 3 cords of wood, 9 cubic meters which costs around 600 euros.
The only downside is the dust, and it needs to be topped up 3 or 4 times aday.
Thought's please.
